Graveside services for Grace Ellen (Smith) Kendrick, 93, of Chariton, who passed away April
20, 1992, in Chariton, were held April 23 at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. Rev.
Keith Noll officiated at the service.

Mrs. Kendrick was born Aug. 28, 1898,in Marion
County. She was the daughter of Rosa Sharon and Clarence Smith. Mrs. Kendrick lived
her entire life in Marion County, mostly in Knoxville. She graduated from Knoxville
High School in 1917.

Grace was united in marriage to Faryle R. Kendrick who preceded
her in death. She was an active person and greatly enjoyed working with and being
around people, she was a people person.

Grace enjoyed crocheting and also enjoyed
working in different restaurants in Knoxville. This allowed her to be around the
public and her new friends. She had been a resident of the Chariton Manor for the
past six years so her daughter could be closer to her.

She was preceded in death
by her parents; her husband; one son, Jack; two daughters, Jeane and Mary Bea.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Lee Kendrick of Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter and son-in-law,
Dixie and Roland Lickteig of Ames; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren
and other relatives and friends.
