Funeral services and burial were held Nov. 9 at Hyannis Neb., for Forest Bonifield,
who died, Nov. 6, 1971, at Alliance, Neb.

Forest Dewey, son of Autten A. and Ida McIntyre Bonifield, was born April 26, 1897
in Knoxville.

He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1916 and taught in the rural schools
before at tending college at Iowa City and prior to employment in Washington, D.
C. He went to Nebraska in 1921, taught in rural school until 1924, and returned
to Central College at Pella.

Jan. 4, 1931 he was united in marriage to Georgia Swiggart of Hyannis.

He taught school until 1930 when he took over management a cattle ranch near Whitman
Neb.

Bonifield continued living and attending college, in the educational field, received
a bachelor of arts degree from Chadron (Neb.) State College in 1905. He was a member
of the Congregationtonal United Church of Christ and Masonic Lodge of Hyannis.

Survivors include his wife and son. Forrest George; two daughters, Mrs. Ron (Shirley)
Carr and Mrs. Barbara Carr; 11 grandchildren; one brother, H. Jay Bonifield; and
two sisters, Mrs. Pearle Poe and Mrs. Blanche Jenkins.
