Captain Burtnett Kent Culver, 68, born January 10, 1898, a former, Knoxville resident, died at Palos Verdes Estates, Calif. on Dec 7, 1965 according to information received here.
He was a graduate of Knoxville high school and of the Naval Academy at Anapolis, Md.
Ethel Alberta Hook and Burtnett were united in marriage.
He was a retired naval officer and had taught naval science at the University of California at Berkeley.
Services were held on Dec 10, with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
He was a first cousin of Mrs. Herbert Bellamy
