Funeral services for Mrs. Lena McCorkle, who died at her farm home following a long illness on April 23, were held from Columbia Methodist church, April 26 with Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating. Burial was in Columbia cemetery. Bybee & Davis Funeral Home was in charge.

Pallbearers were Wayne Roberts, James Rowland, John Harvey, Glen Noftsger, Howard Beebout and Kenneth Beebout. Mrs. Helen May was organist. Flower committee was Mrs. Cleo Anderson, Mrs. Minnie Covey and Duane Bingaman.

Lena F., daughter of William U. and Anna Marcia Lovell Harvey was born July 31, 1904 near Knoxville. On Nov. 24, 1926 she was united in marriage to Waldo McCorkle and to this union three children were born.

In early life she affiliated with Plymouth Presbyterian church and later transferred to Columbia Methodist church. Her parents, husband, a son, Jerald Idris, a daughter Norma Lou and one brother preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband and son Billy of Columbia; two brothers, Charles S. Harvey and Loris S. Harvey and one sister Mrs. Lloyd Welch, all of Knoxville.
