Return to Class of 1976

Ellen Zeck05/29/2009
Ellen Renee (Zeck) Williams was born January 20, 1958 in Knoxville, Iowa. She was raised by her parents Ralph and Carolyn Zeck, along with her 2 sisters, Fayetta Dawn and Rhonda Mae.

She was the type of person you could always count on to keep the peace, no matter what situation arose. Ellen could make any challenge seem like no big deal. She would always wear a smile and her laugh was like music to your ears. Her greatest treasure was spending time with her family.

Ellen thought family was always the most important thing in the world. She would often remind everyone what it meant to be a family and would mediate to solve any pending conflicts. Her family referred to her as their “rock” and they all hope to use what she gave them to carry on her legacy.

Even during sickness Ellen was strong, she continued to assure everyone things were okay and spent the end of her life surrounded by her family and friends. She said she couldn’t wait for the day to come when she could see all those who passed before her, she missed them dearly. She will be missed by those who she has left behind, but they too can’t wait till the time they get to meet with her again.

Ellen passed away on Friday, May 29, 2009 at her home at the age of 51 years, 4 months and 9 days.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Rhonda Schneider

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Michael of Knoxville; daughters, Dawn (Wayne Jr.) Simmons of Allison, Renee (Shawn) Pope, Kami (Angel) Bravo and Darian Weaver all of Pella; 11 grandchildren, Bret, Stacia, Desiray Laureen, Deserae Lynn, Jordan, Levi, Danielle, Dante, Mackenzie, Deion, Lilia; sister, Fayetta Mason of Melcher; parents, Ralph and Carolyn Zeck of Melcher; along with other relatives and many friends.
